This is real CPython 3.13, not a Python-like imitation. It runs on Pyodide, the CPython interpreter compiled to WebAssembly, so the standard library is all there — collections, itertools, datetime, json, re, dataclasses, typing, statistics and the rest. The first Run downloads the interpreter once (about 6 MB); every Run after that starts instantly.

Programs that ask for input work the way they do in a terminal. Type the values into the Input (stdin) box, one per line, and each input() call reads the next line. If the program asks for more input than you provided, you get an EOFError that tells you so, instead of a program that hangs.

Each Run starts from a clean namespace, so a variable from the previous run never leaks into the next one. An infinite loop is stopped after 15 seconds and the interpreter restarts, so a while True: mistake never freezes the page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Python version does this online compiler run?

CPython 3.13, via Pyodide 0.28. It is the real interpreter compiled to WebAssembly, so syntax, error messages and standard-library behaviour match Python 3.13 on your own machine.

Can I use input() in this online Python compiler?

Yes. Put the values in the Input (stdin) box, one per line. Each input() call reads the next line and echoes it into the output, like a terminal session.

Can I pip install packages like pandas or numpy?

Not yet — this compiler runs the standard library only. Everything in the Python standard library is available, including csv, json, re, collections, itertools, datetime, dataclasses and statistics. (sqlite3 is the one notable exception — for SQL, use the SQL compiler.)

Is my Python code uploaded anywhere?

No. The interpreter runs inside your browser in a Web Worker. Your code is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is still there when you come back, and it never reaches our servers.
