Tools, courses and engineering help — most of it free
SolutionGigs is a working engineer’s toolkit and classroom: free utilities that do one job properly, complete courses with graded assessments and certificates, guides that answer the whole question, and paid help from a human when a tool is not enough.
Who we are
SolutionGigs is built and run by Mohammed Yaseen, a software and data engineer based in Bengaluru, India. It began as a handful of utilities built to scratch his own itches and has grown into the site you are reading: several hundred pages of tools, courses, articles and answers, used mostly by developers, students, freelancers and small engineering teams.
It is deliberately small. There is no sales team, no venture funding and no growth target that needs your email address. That is why the tools have no signup wall: nobody here is paid per lead. When you email support, the person who replies is the person who wrote the code.

Free tools that do one job well
More than sixty tools: file and image converters, a scan-to-PDF pipeline, audio transcription, JWT and JSON and SQL utilities, regex and cron testers, resume and readability checkers, generators for Dockerfiles, Terraform, Kubernetes manifests and GitHub READMEs. Many run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your machine. None of them need an account.

Something specific is broken and you need a person, not a project. Describe it for free, get a diagnosis and a fixed price in writing, and pay only after you approve it. If we cannot help, you are told that and you pay nothing.

Worth stating plainly, because it explains every product decision on this site. There are four sources of revenue, and every one of them is opt-in — nothing you use for free today becomes paid tomorrow:
- Advertising. Google AdSense runs on some pages. It is why the tools can be free and unlimited.
- Paid engineering work. Scoped services engagements and fixed-price one-off fixes. This is the main one.
- Subscriptions on one product. The AI Meeting Summarizer has paid plans above a free monthly allowance, because the transcription and summarisation cost real compute. Everything else stays free.
- Voluntary tips. If a tool saved you an afternoon you can leave a small amount through the support button. It is optional, it unlocks nothing, and no feature is hidden behind it.
What we do not do: sell your data, sell your email address, sell backlinks, or run affiliate reviews dressed up as guides.
How payments work
Every payment on SolutionGigs — a tip, an approved fix, a services invoice or a Meeting Summarizer plan — is processed by Razorpay, a payment gateway licensed by the Reserve Bank of India and used by hundreds of thousands of Indian businesses.
What that means for you. When you pay, Razorpay’s own checkout window opens on top of our page. Your card number, UPI PIN, netbanking login and wallet credentials are entered inside that window and go straight to Razorpay. They never pass through a SolutionGigs page and are never stored on our servers — we only ever receive the payment ID, the amount, the status and, for subscriptions, a subscription ID.
- Methods: UPI, credit and debit cards, netbanking and wallets.
- Currencies: Indian rupees (₹) and US dollars ($). Pick either at checkout.
- Receipts: Razorpay emails one automatically for every successful payment.
- Security: Razorpay is PCI DSS compliant and handles 3-D Secure and OTP verification. We could not store your card details even if we wanted to, because we never see them.
- Blocked checkout? An ad blocker is almost always the cause — the payment window is loaded from Razorpay’s domain. Allow this site and try again.
Refunds, cancellations and what happens to a failed payment are set out in our Terms of Service. What we store about a transaction is in the Privacy Policy.
How the tools are built
Roughly a third of the tools never send your file anywhere: image resizing, JWT decoding, JSON and SQL formatting, regex testing, colour and timestamp utilities and the typing test all run in your browser using WebAssembly and the standard web APIs. If your network connection dropped mid-task, they would keep working.
The rest need a server, because the work is too heavy for a browser tab. Audio and video conversion uses FFmpeg, the engine behind VLC and most of the video industry; images use Pillow; transcription uses OpenAI Whisper, running on our own machine rather than a third-party API. The backend is Python and FastAPI, the site is Next.js, and everything runs on a server we administer ourselves.
File limits: 500 MB per upload, no daily cap, no watermarks, no account. Server-side files and their outputs are deleted within one hour, automatically — so download your result before you close the tab.
What we stand by
Free means free
No trial that expires, no watermark, no "upgrade to download", no daily cap on the free tools. If something costs money, it says so before you start, not after you have uploaded a file.
Your files are yours
Anything processed on our servers is deleted within one hour, automatically. Nothing you upload is read by a human, sold, or used to train a model.
No account walls
Signing in is optional and only unlocks things that genuinely need an identity — a comment under your name, a saved profile, a certificate, a subscription.
We would rather say no
On paid work, if a problem is outside what we can honestly solve, we say so and charge nothing. A refused job costs less than a bad one.
