Forward deployed engineer

I'll be your forward deployed engineer.

Something broken in your application, or something that has to be built inside your stack? I embed with your team, work in your systems, and stay until it runs in production without me.

Backend errors, API failures, deployment issues, database problems, cloud and infrastructure trouble, pipeline failures, application bugs — and plenty that isn't on that list.

The engagement, end to end

What a forward deployed engineer actually does

From the first scoping call to the day I roll off. This is how every engagement runs — watch it play, or click a phase.

Phase 1 of 4

Pre-sales & discovery

in progress
1
Align with sales

I join the technical scoping calls to work out what you actually need, versus what was promised.

2
Audit the infrastructure

Your pipelines, security guardrails, cloud environment and the legacy systems nobody wants to mention.

3
Define the MVP

A minimal scope that proves real value inside 30–90 days — not a roadmap, a first win.

A single bug is the short version of the same loop. Want to learn to do this job yourself? There is a free course: Forward Deployed Engineer.

How a request works

Send one issue or start an engagement — it begins the same way. Four steps, and you only pay at the fourth one.

  1. 1

    Tell me the problem

Submit the error, the logs, a screenshot — or just describe what is happening in plain language.

  2. 2

    I investigate

I read through it properly and work out what is actually causing it, not just what it looks like.

  3. 3

    You get a straight answer

I tell you what is required and what it will cost. If I cannot help, I say so — that costs you nothing.

  4. 4

    I fix it

Once you approve the price, I do the work and hand back the solution with an explanation of the cause.

Not on the list? Send it anyway.

Those are examples, not limits. Don't try to work out which service you need — describe what is going wrong and I'll tell you whether I can help, what it involves, and what it costs. Working that out is my job, not yours.

Tell me about your issue

Only your name, email and what is going wrong are required. Everything else helps me get to the answer faster — fill in what you can.

How urgent is it?
What can you spend on this?

Don't worry about the money yet. I look at your problem first and tell you what is actually causing it — you see the work before you ever see a bill. The price comes after that, and nothing is charged until you've seen it and said yes.

A rough range still helps me aim: it tells me whether to quote the proper fix or the smallest thing that gets you running. Not sure? Pick Not sure yet — let's get started and sort the number out later.

Screenshots, logs or a short screen recording

Up to 3 files, 10 MB each — images, PDFs, logs or a .zip/.rar. Please remove passwords, tokens and API keys before uploading.

Free to submit. You'll get a scope and a price before any paid work starts — and if I can't help, I'll say so and it costs you nothing.

How pricing works

No rate card, because the honest number depends on what is actually wrong.

  1. 1Submitting is freeDescribe the issue and send it. Nothing is charged for looking at it, and there is no card to enter.
  2. 2You get a fixed price, in writingOnce I know what is involved, you get a scope and a price by email — or a straight “I cannot help with this”, which costs you nothing.
  3. 3You sign before anything startsIf you go ahead, the agreed price and scope go into a short agreement you sign online. No meter runs in the background, and nothing outside that scope is billed without a new agreement.

For example: you say “my React app won't load”. I investigate, find the cause, and come back with the issue and what fixing it costs. You approve it, sign, and I fix it. No surprises in either direction.

Already agreed a price? Pay for it here — card, UPI or netbanking, with a receipt by email.

Why get help from SolutionGigs?

Experienced engineer

Hands-on production experience across cloud, backend, data and application technologies — not a reseller passing your issue along.

No unnecessary work

I understand the problem before recommending anything. If a one-line config change fixes it, that is what I will tell you.

Clear pricing

You see the price before any paid work begins, and you approve it. No hourly meter running in the background.

Works from anywhere

Remote support for teams and individuals across India and internationally, with payment in rupees or dollars.

Track record

What I have already built and kept running.

Your bug lands with someone who ships production systems, not a ticket queue. Each of these is live.

Client work is under NDA more often than not, which is why the evidence here is my own. Reviews from clients appear below as they are approved — how that works.

Frequently asked questions

What does “forward deployed engineer” mean here?

An engineer who works inside your environment rather than from a ticket queue. I join your channels, read your code and your data, build and harden the fix in your production systems, then train your team and hand it over. For a single bug that is a short version of the same thing; for a longer piece of work it runs as the four phases shown on this page — discovery, deployment, hardening, departure.

Can you fix any application?

I can help with applications built on technologies I have worked with in production — backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines and web frontends. If your issue is outside that, I will tell you before you spend anything rather than learning on your budget.

Do I need to give you access to my application?

Not to begin with. Most issues can be diagnosed from an error message, a log extract, a screenshot and a description of what changed. If access does become necessary, we agree on the narrowest access that works and you revoke it when the work is done.

Do you work with international customers?

Yes. Payments work in Indian rupees or US dollars, and everything is handled remotely over email and screen share, so time zone is not a barrier.

When do I pay?

Not when you submit. You describe the issue for free, I review it, and you receive a scope and a price. Payment happens only after you approve that price, and only for work you agreed to.

Can you fix production issues?

Yes, where it is technically feasible. Production access should only ever be granted when it is genuinely necessary, through controlled, time-limited credentials that you can revoke. For an active outage, mark the request urgent and include everything you have.

What if you cannot solve it?

Then you are told that, and you pay nothing. I would rather turn down work than take money for a problem I am not confident about. Where I can, I will point you toward who or what would help.
